When I toured the Steinway factory in New York this past November, I learned that handcrafting each Steinway requires up to one full year to create. Since 1853, Steinway & Sons has set an uncompromising standard for crafting each individual instrument. All-Steinway Schools demonstrate a commitment to excellence by providing their student and faculties with the best equipment possible for the study of music. Attaining the designation as an All-Steinway School for The Hugh A. Glauser School of Music is part of the greater mission of Kent State University’s Excellence in Action.
We look forward to your joining us in this musical journey through two campaign initiatives Hit the Right Chord and Buy a Key.
Hit the Right Chord is designed for those of you who are able to contribute at a higher level of commitment as a friend, a member of the ensemble, the second chair, the first chair, a member of the gold circle, or as a member of the conductor’s circle.
Buy a Key is a program better suited for those of you who have a strong desire to help us achieve our goal, but are more comfortable contributing at a smaller dollar amount.
